Terms & Conditions
By booking work with T Shaw Plumbing, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. About Us
T Shaw Plumbing is a Doncaster-based plumbing and heating business operated by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We provide plumbing, heating, and gas services to domestic and small commercial customers.
2. Services
- Work includes installations, repairs, servicing, and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems.
- All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
- Work is carried out to professional standards and in line with current regulations.
3. Estimates & Quotes
- Any prices given verbally or in writing are estimates unless confirmed as a fixed quote.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days.
- If unforeseen issues arise or additional work/materials are required, the customer will be advised before extra costs are incurred.
- Where jobs are charged hourly, time is rounded up to the nearest half-hour.
4. Materials & Parts
- Materials and parts supplied by us remain our property until full payment is received.
- Parts are sourced from trusted suppliers; warranties are covered by manufacturer terms.
- If the customer supplies parts/materials, we cannot be held responsible for their quality, suitability, or performance.
- We will not guarantee work carried out with customer-supplied parts.
5. Payment
- Payment is due on completion of work, unless agreed in advance.
- Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, cash, or other agreed method.
- Invoices not paid within 7 days may incur late payment charges or interest.
- Larger jobs may require a deposit before work begins.
6. Cancellations & Missed Appointments
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rearrangements.
- Same-day cancellations or missed appointments may incur a call-out fee.
7. Call-Outs & Emergency Work
- Emergency call-outs may carry a higher hourly rate.
- In some cases, only a temporary fix may be possible.
- Temporary repairs are not covered by our standard guarantee.
8. Labour Guarantee
- Labour is guaranteed for 12 months from completion.
- Guarantees cover workmanship only and not wear and tear, misuse, or customer-supplied parts.
- If third parties tamper with the work, the guarantee becomes void.
9. Parts Guarantee
- Manufacturer warranties apply to all parts and appliances we supply.
- We cannot guarantee parts supplied by the customer.
10. Liability
- We take care to minimise disruption and damage, but we are not liable for:
- Pre-existing faults or weaknesses in systems/pipes/appliances.
- Damage caused by defective or unsuitable parts supplied by the customer.
- Delays beyond our control (e.g. supplier issues, weather, access restrictions).
- Customers are responsible for ensuring clear and safe access to work areas.
11. Access & Working Conditions
- Customers must ensure we have access to water, electricity, and safe working conditions.
- If work cannot proceed due to access or unsafe conditions, a call-out fee may apply.
12. Waste Disposal
- Removal and disposal of old fittings/appliances is not included unless agreed.
13. Complaints
- If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly so we can resolve the issue quickly.
