• These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for services provided by T Shaw Plumbing, regardless of whether they are agreed verbally, electronically, or in writing.
2. Service Scope
2.1 Plumbing Services
• Includes installations, repairs, and maintenance of pipework, water systems, taps, toilets, showers, sinks, drains, and associated components.
• Blockages, leaks, or repairs caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, or external factors may incur additional costs.
2.2 Heating Services
• Includes installations, repairs, and maintenance of boilers, radiators, central heating systems, thermostats, and associated components.
• We perform annual boiler services and power flushing to maintain heating system efficiency.
• Boiler repairs and maintenance will adhere to manufacturer warranties and service guidelines.
2.3 Gas Work
• Includes the installation, servicing, and repair of gas appliances such as boilers, cookers, fires, and meters.
• All gas work is carried out in accordance with Gas Safe Register regulations and industry standards.
• Customers must ensure their gas appliances are accessible and safe to work on.
3. Quotations and Estimates
• Quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.
• Any additional work identified during the service will be quoted and agreed upon prior to commencement.
• Estimates provided for emergency callouts may vary based on the complexity of the issue.
4. Appointments and Access
• Appointments will be scheduled at mutually agreed times.
• Customers are responsible for providing safe and unobstructed access to the worksite.
• If we are unable to access the property at the agreed time, a missed appointment fee may apply.
5. Payment Terms
• Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work unless prior arrangements have been made in writing.
• Deposits may be required for larger projects, and payment schedules will be agreed upon in advance.
• Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or other agreed methods.
• Failure to pay within the agreed terms may result in additional charges, including interest as permitted by law.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
• Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
• Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee.
• T Shaw Plumbing reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as staff illness or adverse weather conditions.
7. Warranties and Guarantees
7.1 Workmanship Guarantee
• T Shaw Plumbing provides a 12-month warranty on all workmanship. This guarantee covers any faults or defects arising from our work within this period.
7.2 Materials and Parts
• Materials and parts supplied by T Shaw Plumbing are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which may vary.
• The 12-month workmanship warranty applies to the correct installation of these materials but does not cover faults in materials provided by third parties or misuse by the customer.
7.3 Exclusions
• The warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse, negligence, unauthorised repairs, or lack of proper maintenance.
• Pre-existing faults in the property’s plumbing, heating, or gas systems.
• Issues caused by external factors, such as water pressure problems or external damage to pipework.
8. Emergency Callouts
• Emergency services are available subject to staff availability and may incur additional charges.
• While we aim to respond promptly, response times may vary depending on demand and circumstances.
9. Health, Safety, and Legal Compliance
• All work is carried out in compliance with relevant UK regulations, including Gas Safe standards, Water Regulations, and Building Regulations.
• Customers are responsible for notifying us of any known hazards, such as asbestos, at the worksite.
10. Liability
• T Shaw Plumbing is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services
• We are not responsible for:
• Pre-existing faults or weaknesses in your plumbing, heating, or gas systems.
• Damage caused by third-party interference after our work is completed.
• Issues arising from customer-supplied parts or materials.
• Any claims must be reported in writing within 7 days of the incident.
11. Customer Responsibilities
• Customers are responsible for ensuring their property complies with all relevant legal requirements for the work being carried out.
• Customers must notify us of any specific requirements, risks, or access issues before work begins.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
• T Shaw Plumbing respects your privacy and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• Any personal data collected will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared without your consent unless required by law.
13. Changes to Terms and Conditions
• T Shaw Plumbing reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
• Any updates will be posted on our website and take effect immediately.
14. Governing Law
• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
